Scope of this Standard

This standard prescribes requirements for solvent-borne architectural paints, for interior and exterior applications offered for retail in Trinidad and Tobago. This standard outlines performance requirements for the liquid and solid coatings. This standard also outlines requirements for properties related to the following: the liquid coating before application; the application to the liquid coating; and the apperance of the solid coating after application. This standard does not prescribe requirements for coatings that are to be applied to plastic surfaces. This standard also does not apply to water-borne paints, varnishes or stains
